2nds come battling back
LEAGUE leaders Selkirk fell behind after five minutes
in this hard tussle against one of the better Edinburgh teams, who capitalised on a breakdown in the backs' division
to score an opportunist try.
This stung the home team into attack, and within a minute of the restart they scored a try by captain Jason Hendrie.
Selkirk scored a further two tries in the first half through Darren Scott and Craig Macdougall, both converted
by Scott, for a 19-7 half-time lead.
The second half started as the first with Boroughmuir getting on the scoreboard first with a penalty kick. Then
full back Ross Nixon went over. Boroughmuir scored another try to get within a bonus-point range.
But in the last 10 minutes, Selkirk scored another eight points through a Fraser Jack penalty kick and the same
player scored in the corner to put the game beyond doubt.
