HARSH LESSON LEARNED FOR SELKIRK ‘A’ XV
10/09/16, Report : Gregor Nichol
DUNDEE TITANS 58, SELKIRK ‘A’ 0.

Selkirk ‘A’ XV travelled to Dundee on Saturday and despite playing some positive rugby, were well beaten.
After a couple of Selkirk’s players were called up to the first XV, they were forced to field a weakened team and it reflected in the result.
On the positive side, 18-year-old stand-off Rory Hamilton made is senior debut and showed to be a very promising talent, with some good handling and game management.
Another young talent, in Harry Borthwick proved to be Selkirk’s standout performer with a number of surging runs and despite his young age, he lead from the front which was a very encouraging thing to see.
Next weekend sees Selkirk ‘A’ welcome GHA 2XV to Philiphaugh in which should bring a very interesting matchup.
SELKIRK ‘A’: F. Anderson, C. Sanders, G. Ross, Douglas Swinbanks, L. Martin, D. Allan, R. Purves, K. Thomson, F. Amos, J. Stephen, R. Cook, J. Turnbull, S. McKenzie, G. Baird, H. Borthwick. Replacements: R. Reilly, R. Hamilton
