Selkirk travelled to Aberdeen on Saturday for the rearranged BT National 1 league game determined to get out of the blocks quickly after last weeks slow start at Cartha. However the lengthy bus journey seemed to have taken its toll once again with Grammar's first try coming after only 2 minutes.
Some bad defensive work allowing the home winger to score in the corner with the conversion missed. Then at regular intervals throughout the first half Aberdeen scored a further three converted tries which left the score line the interval Aberdeen Grammar 26. Selkirk 0.
After the game the Aberdeen officials commented that it was the best half of rugby they had played this season.

The second half was a complete transformation from the first with Selkirk in control for long periods of the game allowing winger Wagman to score two tries ,both converted by McColm.

However the poor first half proved to be too big a mountain to climb with the Souters returning home pointless.
Best for Selkirk were Sean Nixon ,MOM , Clinton Wagman, Darren Clapperton and Robbie Reilly in his first start for the senior side .
