Selkirk A do the business
Ahead 25-7 at the break, a few words of wisdom from coaches Brian Cassidy and Darren Hoggan during the halftime interval saw the home team step a gear and leave the visitors reeling on the ropes. Utility threequarter Neil Brown exploited the wide open spaces created by half-backs Reive and Easson to notch a hat-trick of tries, while flanker Jim Ross and replacement wing Tom Walling each crossed for a brace of touchdowns the latter player making an immediate impact when coming off the bench for the final 15 minutes of the match. Selkirks other try scorers were Duncan Lawson, Marcus Barnett and David Reive, with Mark Easson racking up a personal haul of 24 points from two penalties and eight conversions.
