With Scott Wight moving on to the coaching team at the Southern Knights, Darren Hoggan also announced that he will be stepping down at the end of the season.
We would like to thank both Scott and Darren for their past contribution to the club and wish them both success in the future.
With this in mind, we are delighted to announce the trio that are going to be taking on the coaching of the 1st XV for season 23/24. Michael Jaffray is staying on and will be joined by Craig Jackson and James Head who both took to the pitch for Selkirk this season.
Michael has been a stalwart for Selkirk Rugby over the years. He has made the most appearances for Selkirk with a staggering 439 appearances, scoring 120 tries and 569 points in total.
James and Craig both joined Selkirk in 2022 and have been good additions to the team this season. With James packing down in at second row and carrying hard whilst Craig helped pull the strings from stand-off and centre. They have both brought a huge amount of experience with them and will continue to pass on their knowledge through their coaching roles.
